Chicken restaurant ‘Taste Like Chicken’ launches unique mirrored menu:
Every dish plantbased or with original chicken
Taste Like Chicken – TLC for friends – serves chicken for everyone with a new mirrored menu where every dish comes in two options: plant-based or with original chicken. From classic nuggets and burgers to chicken & waffles. TLC makes a tasty promise for all their plantbased dishes: you won’t believe it’s not chicken. With The Chicken Challenge, TLC invites everyone to blindly taste the difference: chicken or not?
The innovative concept comes from the mind of creative entrepreneur Ron Simpson, who entrusts the daily operations of TLC to a capable and diverse group of entrepreneurial friends. The goal is simple: to introduce as many people as possible to the plantbased versions of chicken in the most delicious and accessible way ever. Therefore, plantbased chicken is the default on the menu.

“The future is plant-forward, we believe in that 100%. This is a fun way to show the world how easy it can be to eat just a little less meat and still truly enjoy it. It all comes down to flavour! Plantbased chicken is the star of the menu, but the option of original chicken is also available. You just have to ask for it. This way we can welcome all types of guests, while also playfully seducing people to try something new.”

People don’t want to be told what to do or what to eat, so we simply give them a choice. Because you can inspire them to try something new. CHICKEN FOR EVERYONE
The mission to be a chicken place for everyone goes beyond just the choice between vegan or original chicken. The rest of the menu – including milkfakes, sauces, and sundaes – is by default 100% plantbased with no compromises on flavour. With this new concept, TLC wants to bring everyone to the table together. “You can bring your whole group of friends – whether you want to eat vegan, love real chicken, are lactose-free or have other food preferences.”
All TLC favourites are available for everyone, such as the chicken & waffles with plantbased soft serve, the Korean Fried Chicas and the deliciously messy BBQ Bae Burger with spicy BBQ sauce, jalapeño tortilla chips and fresh coleslaw. The kitchen team makes almost everything completely fresh in-house – with tender love and care of course.
THE CHICKEN CHALLENGE
With the new mirrored menu, TLC is ready to take on the challenge. With the purchase of any menu, anyone who’s curious will get two extra Korean Fried Chicas: one with original chicken, one plantbased to taste for themselves. Can you tell the difference in a blind taste test? On June 16, the restaurant will host a special large edition of the Chicken Challenge. From 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, guests can test if they can taste the difference between plantbased and original chicken. Guess them all correctly? You’ll be in the running to win a TLC Family Member Card, giving you free meals for a year. Prefer to just test a fully plantbased menu? That’s possible too!
The new Taste Like Chicken menu is available starting June 16 at the restaurant on Van Woustraat 29H and can be ordered via Uber Eats – with or without chicken.
